ACP therapy - for painful arthroses and sports injuries

The ACP (Autolog Conditioned Plasma) treatment is a new form of therapy for the treatment of diseases of the joints, ligaments, tendons or muscles. Both degenerative (due to wear and tear) and traumatic (consequences of injuries) conditions can be treated.

ACP for arthrosis
(damage to the articular cartilage)

Ageing processes, genetic predisposition, but also one-sided stress or accidents can lead to wear and tear of the joint cartilage. This wear is called arthrosis and any joint can be affected. In the early stages of arthrosis, there are symptoms such as unpleasant pulling in the joint, stiffness in the morning or even pain when starting to work. As the disease progresses, the pain becomes stronger and daily activities must be restricted. As a result, the quality of life naturally also decreases.

ACP for injuries to muscles, tendons and ligament

A frequent cause of injuries to the musculoskeletal system is biomechanical overloading or incorrect loading. The musculature reacts with strains or fibre tears. In the case of tendons, inflammation, persistent irritation or even tearing can occur. A torn ligament is not uncommon. We have also made the experience with sports injuries that ACP therapy can be used to support other therapies and contribute to an accelerated healing process.

Fields of application for sports injuries

  • Fresh muscle injury
  • Chronic tendonitis
  • (e.g. tennis elbow, Achilles tendon, patella tendon)
  • Torn ligament (e.g. outer ligament of the ankle joint)
