A definite ‘must’ is the orthopaedic examination of 4-6 week-old babies. Of particular importance here, is the comprehensive examination of the locomotor organs in order to identify and treat possible hip dysplasia or maldevelopment of other locomotor organs, at an early stage. Extensive neurophysiological examination is an important part of assessing child development. Particularly in the first year of life a great number of conditions can be treated using simple methods. |
