How acupuncture is performed
Our body is criss-crossed by a system of meridians – a network of pathways through which our life energy, known as Qi, flows. If the flow of Qi is disrupted, illnesses can arise.
How does acupuncture work?
By inserting needles at specific acupuncture points, the flow of qi is restored. Imbalances are harmonised, blockages are released and weakness is alleviated.
Sensations during treatment
- Some patients feel a sense of heaviness or pressure at the injection site.
- Others report a flow of energy or feel a deep sense of relaxation.
- Occasionally, reactions such as tingling, trembling, or feelings of cold or heat occur – a sign that the treatment is working.
Duration and frequency of treatment
- Usually 2 to 3 treatments per week are carried out, in series of 10 to 15 sessions.
- If necessary, another treatment series can be carried out after a break.
Acupuncture promotes inner balance, activates the self-healing powers and ensures improved well-being.
