In this procedure, the worn joint surfaces are removed and the implants for the thigh and lower leg are inserted using very precise templates. If both knees are affected by arthrosis, it is possible to replace both knees in a single surgical procedure. The regeneration time for the patient is hardly extended by the immediate full load capacity of both legs compared to a one-sided joint replacement. This enables the patient to quickly reintegrate into his or her usual social rhythm and to quickly regain the ability to work.
